A Oroszlan, a Boszorkany Es a Kulonos Ruhaszkreny [The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe]

C.S. Lewis
Szent Istvan Tarsulat, Budapest · 1988

First Edition. Hungarian language first edition of the first volume of Lewis's Narnia series. Paperback original, translation by K.

Nagy Erzsebet with numerous original in-text illustrations and full-colour cover art by Kohl Attila. This was the first of only two Narnia titles to appear in Hungarian prior to the end of Communism and was issued by a Christian publisher. Very scarce indeed, and near fine.

The only copy I've seen in 25 years of dealing in Hungarian books. Unusual and attractive addition to any C.S. Lewis collection.

Kohl Attila (illustrator).

Written by Dr Jeremy Parrott, who has the book in his hands. Nothing here is generated from a catalogue record.
